30 Apr MADE final events in six countries
The final MADE Dissemination Events were carried out by the partners in Austria, Ireland, Italy, Poland, Romania and Slovakia between February and April 2021.
The aim of the events was to promote the MADE educational model with the Toolkit mainly among the deaf community as well as among professionals working in the field of deaf youth education. The partners also presented training experiences involving deaf young people aimed at transferring transversal and technical-professional skills to become museum guides for deaf visitors. Specifically, during the final events the partners were able to present the advantages of the MADE educational model and the Toolkit containing the learning materials of modules included in the MADE Curriculum, both in the national spoken languages and in the national sign languages through specific videos. You can view the free materials available in the Toolkit at the link: https://www.madeproject.eu/toolkit/
In addition, suggestions were collected for continuous improvement of the model in terms of skills to be acquired and approaches to be used to empower young deaf people in social and employment inclusion. The inputs received during the events will be used by the partners to design a future MADE project follow-up.
In total, the six multiplier events involved 150 participants including mainly representatives of the deaf community, trainers, youth educators and representatives of public authorities in the field of social inclusion and education and training. Due to restrictions caused by Covid-19, in Italy, Slovakia, Ireland and Poland the events took place online via Zoom, while in Austria and Romania it was possible to organise the events in presence, always respecting social distancing and anti-Covid regulations.
